Happy Monday!Mon, 10/08/2007 at 17:27Good afternoon! First a little self-promotion. I'll be speaking at Central Community College on Capital Hill this Tuesday night. What started as me speaking to the Human Sexuality Class has morphed into me speaking to anyone who wants to show up. They are making my presentation available to the rest of the school and to the general public. If you want to see me talk on Alternative Sexuality, drop by Tuesday, October 9 at 6:00 PM, room 1110. I hope to see some of you there. I don't know about you, but I get a ton of SPAM. Primarily because most of the Center e-mails addresses are directed toward me and since we're a (hush, don't let this get around) sexually focused organization, SPAMMERS seem to gravitate toward us, especially the wetspot.org addresses. And while I've got a great SPAM filter I have to actually look at all the subject lines for all 1000plus daily e-mails that I receive (that's what I said, 1000...four zeros....plus). Since much of my legitimate e-mail is sexual in nature my SPAM filter gobbles it right down. That said, if you don't hear from me in 48 hours, please resend your e-mail. If you put my name in the subject matter (such as attention Allena) I'll notice it when I go through my Junk mail box. Speaking of e-mail, I am on a lot of lists for clubs and organizations both locally and nationally and I get tons of announcements on cool events happening all over the US. Some of them aren't even about sex, such as one that I saved from my SPAM filter today. Now, this isn't about sex or even anything pertinent to our organization, but the idea of an event like this happening just amuses me to no end (and it's happening in Seattle at The War Room tonight). Drunken Breakdance Competition. And the prize is $1250. I am frankly amazed along with being amused. I wish I could go and check it out. The format will be small group discussion on the topic and then large group discussion on the topic. The discussion part of the night is totally optional and you can go off to another part of the room and network with some others that I am sure will be there sitting back and chilling out of the discussion. On a personal note: I would love to have lots of kinksters there to discuss their view of freedom. You guys have unique perspective and I think the business community I run in needs to hear your voices and give you business as well. This is a monthly event that generally happens every 2nd to last Monday of the month.
