The Hump! 1001 Nights

The Hump takes on a Middle Eastern theme to recreate a sultan's quarters! Or was that a sultanna?? Middle Eastern music, both traditional & modern will complete the ambiance. Belly dancing is highly encouraged!!

Kendra will be giving belly dance lessons from 7-8pm so come and learn how to shake it (men and women are all welcome!)

Stomping Ground is a rock n roll jaunt through the mystical lands of bellydance and ritual. Part anecdotal, part instructional, this tasty little volume takes a look at historical uses of bellydance and provides plenty of creative exercises you can try at home. Stomping Ground is a perfect tool for both experienced and aspiring bellydancers as well as anyone looking to find meaning in the wild landscape of the modern age.

Author Kendra Hayes is a grown-up rebel girl who lives and works in a haunted house in Seattle with three sweet kitties and one hot man. She has been dancing, writing and dreaming for as long as she can remember. Kendra has been studying bellydance since 2000 and teaching it since 2005. Kendra will give a brief reading from Stomping Ground, followed by a demonstration of her special brand of dark, sensual bellydance.
